"Apple"

Who would have guessed Luke would enjoy rolling this apple around and how quickly he learned what it was!

Fashion Show!

Lisa's sister Anna is getting married to Josh next weekend in Savannah; Lisa's other sister, Kristin, found a little formal wear for Luke for his aunt's wedding. We had a little fashion show to see if it would fit our little boy.

11 months

Wow, we can't believe Luke is 11 months old! Where has the time gone? I remember this time last summer getting ready for his birth, getting his room ready, taking parenting classes, feeling Lisa's belly when Luke kicked. . . And now he's almost a year old!

Cousins

Luke and Caleb spend a lot of time together - the boys can often be found taking a ride around the neighborhood, with an occasional stop to chill by the pool or visit the playground. While Caleb loves the swings (& slide & monkey bars) Luke is not a big fan. Of course, some days it's nice just to take it easy.

Three (or four) teeth

. . . And just a few weeks later, on Luke's 11 month birthday, the little baby has 3 teeth. Ok, actually the 4th one has just broken through his gums, but you can't really tell from this photo. You really have to get in his face to see it.

Luke's first tooth!

It finally happened! Luke cut his first tooth the other week. And soon after that one tooth, the other front three have followed suit to one degree or another. Soon he'll have the top and bottom front teeth showing.
He's been doing fairly well with the teething pains, although it seems we have at least one restless night a week because of it.

Ham in the tub

Luke is a ham for the camera pretty much all the time, and this bath was no different. He's even learning the sound a piggy makes. We'll get a video of that soon.

It is his . . . Destiny.

So I hadn't been the most diligent in putting up all of my Star Wars stuff (surprise), and it was inevitable that now that Luke is mobile that he would eventually find it. Well it happened, and Lisa snatched away the action figures from certain ingestion by our little baby boy. So to satisfy his curiosity and need for his very own toys from that far, far away galaxy, Lisa let him have the toddler Star Wars toys that friends of ours gave Luke when he was born. (Yes, they do have toddler Star Wars toys.) Luke loved them! You could say it was his . . . destiny. (Yes, you know that is a movie quote.)
