Who Stole the Cookie from the Cookie Jar?

I came home from work New Year's Eve and Damien showed me some pictures he had taken of Luke that afternoon. As you can see, Luke was very pleased with the chocolate chip cookie his Daddy gave him. And yes, he ate it all.
Luke definitely got his Mommy's sweet tooth.

Rose Bowl victory!!!

Luke's great-grandmother Nanny knitted him an Ohio State cap and scarf and gave him an OSU sweatshirt with matching red gloves for Christmas. These were perfect for watching the Buckeyes beat the University of Oregon Ducks in the Rose Bowl.

Christmas

It was quite an exciting morning for all at SharpTop Mountain, where we gathered again this Christmas to celebrate with Lisa's family. Santa Claus was good to all the young cousins, and Luke was able to enjoy his stash from Santa this year. His jaw dropped in awe when he saw his new toys laid out - as you can see, he did quite well. Luke was a very good boy this year, and Santa brought him: a soccer goal and ball, a Curious George lunch box, Sesame Street stackers and pop-up book, Duplo Lego bricks, a watch and a dinosaur water bottle. All his relatives from both sides of his family were sweet and generous to him as well.
Below he's showing off his new Crocs from Mommy and Daddy and looking quite spiffy in his Christmas outfit (and knows it!).

Here is a shot of SharpTop Mountain Cove, the camp where we were for Christmas. We enjoyed seeing deer, hiking and frisbee golf (it was too cold for the hot tub!) in addition to the usual festivities.

Luke's 15 month birthday

As you can see by these photos, Luke is developing quite a personality. He has a really playful sense of humor and is becoming quite the little gymnast. Some of his vocabulary includes "bo" for phone, "appo" for hippo, and "dodle" for turtle. Luke also knows "up," "down," "on," "nap," "milk," and lots of other words. He can identify and say many body parts such as "nose," "eye," ear," "belly," "foot," "hand," and "hair." When asked if he knows he is cute, he replies, "I know." His favorite word by far is "no." (Although when asked if that is his favorite word, his answer, with a shake of his head, is "no.")

Getting in the Christmas Spirit

At the beginning of December we took Luke to church to meet Santa Claus. And you see how that went - he was not impressed. He was very happy to get back into Mommy's arms.
When we got home, we decided to put up the Christmas tree and decorations. Luke thought he'd assist and we snapped this adorable photo of him being Santa's little helper.
