The Many Faces of Luke

Luke is such a silly boy:
Mad Face

Squishy Face
Happy Face
Hotdog Mustache Face

Brittany's wedding

My brother-in-law's sister was married in May.  The kids all had a wonderful time at the wedding and danced the afternoon away. Luke had a blast with his cousins Caleb and Colby (Levi slept most of the time) and his friends Lauren and Anna (with Luke in the pictures below.)

Gymnastics recital

Luke has been taking gymnastics weekly.  He has done really well, increasing in flexibility and balance. He is an awesome flipper :) and loves going on the balance beam.  These pictures are from the last day of class and his recital, which was in mid-May.

Last day of school

Luke has loved going to school this year. The last day of school was filled with fun - a jumpy, bubbles, and a picnic for the parents & kids.  It was a fun way for the year to end.  Luke is looking forward to school starting back in the fall!

So much fun!

Circus fun!

We took Luke to the annual Shriners' Circus.  It was his first circus, and he enjoyed it.  There were lots of clowns, a couple of animals that performed, and some acrobats and daredevils.

Luke's not so sure about this clown.

Bears did some tricks on the motorcycle.

More daredevils on motorcycles.

Trip to the new Lego Discovery Center

In April we surprised Luke with a trip to the new Lego Discovery Center in Buckhead.  As you can see, Luke had a great time!  The center was pretty cool; there were a couple rides, a recreation of Atlanta's landmarks built in Lego, a "4-D" movie theater, and areas for Luke to build with Lego bricks.

Luke runs in excitement when we surprise him.
Luke is over 100 Lego bricks tall.

Lego Turner Field.
The Georgia State Capitol in Lego Bricks.
The "Brick-52s" perform in Lego Athens, GA.

Lego Atlanta wouldn't be complete without the Varsity.  There was also a Lego Fox Theatre, where "Brick-ed" was playing, and a Lego Georgia Dome, and Lego Stone Mountain.

Luke takes a brick from a Lego wizard.

Luke builds a Lego racer.

Lego karaoke?  Luke got in to it.

The Lego earthquake simulator.  You could build a tower out of Lego and push a button and make an earthquake to topple the tower.
