Fully mobile

Luke is crawling now! And he is all over the place, crawling from the living room to the kitchen, the foyer, our bed (but not off it), and pretty much anywhere we let him go.

Luke's First Easter

I had to work on Luke's first Easter (surprise!) but we did get some photos that night. Here he is with some of the stuffed animals he was given this Easter and having fun with Daddy.

Mothers' Day

Lisa was patient with me when she got home from work on Mothers' Day last Sunday to let me photograph her and Luke. She had a hard day at the pharmacy, but Luke's irresistible cuteness and sweet, happy attitude helped her relax. We got her a digital picture frame for her first special day so that she can take all these photos we have of us and take the frame to work so she can see us every day. Then Luke helped me cook dinner for Lisa.

8 months

Luke and I had fun taking photos with his elephant in his room on his 8th month birthday last Sunday. Our little boy is such a ham!

In the studio

I shot this a couple weeks ago in the home photo studio (read: living room with black backdrop). I like it a lot; it's the wallpaper on our new computer.

New expression

Luke found a new face and has been practicing it over and over! We call it his "scrunchy" face and we're not really sure why he makes it. He's not mad when he makes it, he just does it randomly. He also enjoys cousin Caleb's little riding car. Luke also is doing really well standing, but he looks a little guilty next to his baby chair - what do you think he was doing (or making)?

Learning to crawl

Here is how Luke gets around. He has the back end movement down, but still can't quite get his arms to work for a full-on crawl. It's more like he lunges forward into a faceplant, then rolls around to get where he can.
