Luke Anthony Guarnieri
We welcomed Luke Anthony into the world on Wednesday, September 10, 2008, at 1:04pm. Luke weighed 6lbs, 14.5oz and measured 17.75in upon his arrival at WellStar Kennestone Hospital in Marietta, Georgia.
Luke and Lisa are in great health! I did the least amount of work yet have slept the most. Let me tell you, those padded ledges at the hospital meant for daddy are the most uncomfortable "beds" in all the world. And I can sleep anywhere, but I was whining about my back, then I realized that Lisa and Luke were the ones doing the hard work, so I shut up.
Lisa went into labor about 7:00am and decided to go to the hospital at 9:30. At 10:00 I met her and my mother-in-law at the hospital and were almost immediately put into a labor and delivery room. Lisa was awesome! She impressed the nurses and doctor by having a natural birth, without any drugs. She was all smiles and jokes between contractions while I cheered her on at her bedside. At 1:04pm Luke popped out, quite literally (I guess I said "whoa" or something like that because I remember the nurses laughing at me), and immediately showed off the power of his little baby lungs. I saw everything and cut the cord.
Luke most definitely does not like to be naked or unswaddled. (Which is fine, because I don't like changing diapers, but did it a heck of a lot of times in his first 10 hours of life.) He makes cute little squeaky sounds and loves to be held by his proud parents, grandma Susan, and aunt Anna, and I'm sure he'll love to be held by everyone else too!
The first photo was taken at 10 minutes old, as he was getting all his baby tests, getting poked and prodded, but passing all his newborn tests, exams, and pop quizzes with flying colors. The rest of the photos were taken throughout his first day of life. He'll probably be the most-photographed baby ever!

Congrats guys! He's a handsome boy, and you're very blessed to have such a healthy baby! I know you'll be great parents, and don't worry about over-photographing...my hubby just had to buy extra memory for our computer to hold all the pictures we've taken in Abby's first year of life! :)
CONGRATS!
congratulations!
Dearest Ones, Damien and Lisa, and Baby Luke,
Words can't express the emotions I've just experienced at seeing the snaps of my first grandchild. Luke is, indeed, the most beautiful baby in the whole wide world! And I can hardly wait to hold and hug him to my heart.
May God bless Luke with all the very best of everything Life has to offer.
To the three of you,
Always, Love,
Nana Lauren
